Peter Kalynyak

 


Lyn Blanchard

Mr Kalynyak has nearly 20 years of experience in the plant biotechnology industry. Peter Kalynyak obtained his M. Sc in Biology in Ternopil Pedagogical University in the Ukraine and started his scientific career at a water toxicology laboratory, to perform toxicity bioassays on rainbow trout.

In the early 90s he decided to work with plants and since then he started to work as a Plant Biotechnology Research Assistant. He got profound training in new plant biotechnology methods and techniques at the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kyiv, Ukraine - there he also gained experience in ecology and biotechnology laboratory, Ternopil Ukraine.

During this period of plant biotechnology development in Ukraine, Peter Kalynyak was involved in variety research projects for introducing in vitro rare medicinal plants for the production pharmaceutically important drugs, compounds, and heavy metals plant toxicity bioassays. In late 90s he further developed his research experience as analyzing plant secondary metabolites from cultured cells and organs at Queen Mary and Westfield College in London, UK.

Later in Canada Peter Kalynyak got several years of industry experience in micropropagation of Poplar and Viola sp., non-embryogenic and embryogenic cell cultures and toxicology bioassays with Lemna minor species at Biotechnology & Natural Products Division BC Research Inc. In academia, Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research UBC, Peter Kalynyak was working as the Plant tissue culture Lab manager and was responsible for stock plant tissue collection and for establishing plant tissue cultures from ornamental plants, especially interspecific Exacum sp.

At present time Peter Kalynyak is working in Faculty of Forestry, Prof Mansfield lab and is involved in Genome BC project for the development of transformation protocols and selection of poplars to improve their potential biofuel resource. Mr Kalynyak is an experienced Research Assistant with expertise in plant biotechnology of variety plant species and who introduced in vitro dozens of plants.


Shayne Willson

Shayne Willson

Shayne is a passionate individual when it comes to his work. He enjoys helping businesses and individuals establish goals and create guidelines to help them in achieving their goals. His commitment in his work and his life is to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Educated at Canisius College, in Buffalo New York, Shayne earned a Bachelors of Arts in Communication with a focus on Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in integrated Marketing Communication. He also studied at Iowa Western Community College where he received his Associate of Science in Business Administration. Since graduating from school, Shayne has taken on the challenge to market EcoFert Inc. to its potential consumers.

Shayne will be taking on the challenge of being the Marketing Manager for EcoFert Inc. and is excited about the opportunity to help create a better environment by increasing the production and sales of EcoFert products. The future is green, and Shayne is excited to be able to facilitate the needs of our eco friendly customers to help them reach their goals.
